Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I started developing pain in my teeth along with gum issues since few weeks. White patches and bloating of gums are seen. I am not able to sleep due to severe pain. I am using mouthwash, brushing my teeth, and taking Nurofen painkiller also. Please help as I am worried that it is a major health issue.

Thank you very much.

Hello,

I am delighted you turned to icliniq.com with your medical-related questions.

I can certainly relate to your worry, and I will do my best to assist.

  1. A clear understanding of the condition can be provided if the affected part of the gums is mentioned.
  2. I suggest you the following medication for white patches if they are ulcerated, for temporary relief from the pain apply ointment Dentogel (Choline salicylate and Lidocaine) 15 grams - Apply over the ulcers with clean fingers and gently massage for one to two minutes.
  3. Painkillers and antibiotics are not of much use in these kind of cases.

Thank you.
