Similarly, taste was the top priority for consumers, followed by calories.

The most common options are lemon and lime infusions, but infusing water with herbs like basil, sage, or mint is possible. Adding delicious flavors makes a lot of people drink more water. Thus, infusions can be used to improve the taste of water.

A cup of fruit-infused water usually has the following ingredients:

  • Carbohydrate: zero grams.

  • Fat: zero grams.

  • Protein: zero grams.
