What Are the Yoga Poses for Face Glow?

  • Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose): This pose improves flexibility, strengthens the spine, stretches the chest, lungs, shoulder, and abdomen, and also makes the skin smooth. In this pose, lie on the stomach with toes flat on the floor, soles facing upwards, and forehead on the ground. Legs should be kept close together, with feet and heels lightly touching each other. Both hands should be placed so that palms touch the ground under the shoulders, and elbows should be parallel and close to the torso. Inhale and slowly lift the head, chest, and abdomen. The navel should be kept on the floor, and the torso should be pulled back and off the floor with the support of hands to ensure equal pressure on both palms. Then, straighten the arms by arching back as much as possible, tilt the head back, and look up. This position should be maintained for four to five breaths. Now, breathe out and relax. Repeat four to five times.

  • Trikonasana (Triangle Pose): This pose improves and stimulates blood circulation. The increase in oxygen supply manifests in better quality of the skin. It also helps to relieve pain in the back and legs. In this pose, stand with feet apart. Spread the feet apart as much as possible. Bring arms parallel to the floor while breathing in. Then bend on the right side, bring the right arm closer to the right foot, and breathe out. This position should be held for thirty seconds. Then, slowly come up and relax. Repeat the same on the opposite side.

  • Balasana (Child’s Pose): This pose can help relieve neck pain and headache. It reduces stress and anxiety. It promotes blood circulation to the entire body. This will prevent blood stagnation in varicose veins by regulating it throughout the body. From a kneeling position, sit back on the heels and bring the knees to a comfortable position. Lengthen the spine and walk hands in front. The hips are hinged to fold forward. The arms are extended in front to support the neck. Breathe deeply and relax. Rest in this pose for a few minutes.

  • Matsyasana (Fish Pose): In this pose, lie flat on the back; legs and hands are placed beside the body. Place the palms under the hips so that they face the ground. Then, cross the legs so the thighs and knees are placed flat on the floor. While breathing in, lift the chest along with the head. Hold this position for some time until the individual is comfortable, and while exhaling, release the position, lift the head first, and drop the chest to the ground. It stretches the feet and legs and helps to relieve stress and cramps. It also improves the overall body posture and makes the skin more flexible and firm.

  • Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand Yoga Pose): This pose improves blood circulation, soothes swelling, and reduces fatigue and insomnia. In this pose, lie flat on the back with the legs and hands by the side. Lift the legs, buttocks, and back to the elbows, support the lower body, and stand on the shoulders. The spine and legs should be straightened, and the weight should lie on the shoulders and upper arms. Firm the legs and point the toes out. Then, release by lowering the knees and bringing hands to the floor.

  • Halasana (Plow Pose): It helps to improve the blood flow to the brain, resulting in glowing skin. It reduces stress and fatigue by stretching the back and neck. It is one of the most effective yoga for brain nerves. In this pose, lie down on the back with arms placed by side and palms facing downwards. Inhale and lift the feet off the floor vertically at an angle of ninety degrees using abdominal muscles. Breathe normally, support hips and back with hands, and lift them off the ground. Sweep the leg over the head at an angle of 180 degrees until the toes touch the floor. The back should be kept perpendicular to the ground. Hold the position for a minute and relax with each breath while holding the posture; exhale and bring the legs down slowly.

Yoga enhances the outer appearance and makes a person feel beautiful inside out. These exercises stimulate the facial muscles and improve blood circulation, giving the skin a glow. The cobra pose is the best exercise for glowing skin among all the yoga poses. The cobra pose opens up the chest, reduces pressure, tiredness, and tension, and gives a glow to the skin.
