Dr. Mehwish Akram is a Pharmacologist with four years of clinical experience. She worked as a Health Intern in the Red Cross's International Committee, Islamabad, for three months. After that, she did program management of capacity building programs of the medical fraternity to make them better equipped to deal with trauma involving inception and planning to execute and follow-up. Some of her duties at her place of work include conducting different capacity-building programs like the Emergency Room Trauma Course and War Surgery Course, organizing agendas for programs with stakeholders, providing overall Event support as directed, making checklists and planners for the events, making databases of the participants of the Seminars or Event, making reports on the events conducted. After that, she worked as a trainee pharmacist at Maroof Hospital, Islamabad. Her duties were managing medicines and surgical products in IPD, Emergency, and Operation Theatre Departments, charging these items daily, submitting daily reports to a supervisor, keeping track of the patients and updating records, managing inventory, and controlling medicines with special protocols.
