Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had my period in the middle of the last month, and I had unprotected sex after my period. I ate an I-pill later that evening. I also took a tetanus injection a week after. Now, my periods are late for seven days. I did a blood beta HCG test after consulting online. I have attached my reports. Is medical abortion possible in this case? How much time is required for surgical abortion? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I suggest you perform an ultrasound scan to determine the location and the gestational age of the fetus. The method of termination can be decided after taking an ultrasound scan. If it is less than seven weeks, a medical termination can be done if it is an intrauterine pregnancy. Surgical termination requires a day, but you may need to get admitted. I suggest you consult a doctor even for a medical termination. Those tablets cannot be prescribed online. I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
