Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have stage two to stage three acne. It is very costly for me to see a dermatologist. My acne is not whiteheads. It is more of swollen red lumps and is changing the structure of my skin. Any advice on anything else I could do?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

A pimple occurs due to hormonal issues and oily skin.

1. Do not use hair oil and any sticky cream on the face.

2. Avoid oily food, chocolate, and milk products.

3. Avoid dust. Use a sunscreen (above 30 sun protection factor).

4. Do not rub any cream on the face.

5. Do not use any steroid creams.

6. Continue treatment for at least one month.

7. Facewash or soap is not a treatment.

8. Do not touch acne and avoid pressing it.

For treatment, I advise

  1. Clincitop (Clindamycin), Faceclin (Clindamycin and Nicotinamide), or Clear gel (Clindamycin) is to be used all over the face in the morning.
  2. Adapalene gel (Adapalene) use over acne at night.
  3. Tablet Doxy 100 (Doxycycline) milligrams once a day.
  4. Consult with a doctor and take medicine with their consent.

    Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
