Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 22-year-old female who had sex and took an emergency pill without my partner ejaculating inside. After two days, I had bleeding with clots, and I was confused if it was implantation bleeding or withdrawal bleeding due to the pill. When will I get my periods? Should I do a pregnancy test?

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Menstrual irregularities, in your case, could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by the pill. As you took the pill on time, there is almost no chance of pregnancy in your case. So wait and watch for your menses. Get your home urine pregnancy test seven days after your missed period date. I hope you find this information helpful.

Thank you.
