Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 24-year-old male with no past medical history. I have been facing pain while passing stool. The pain ceases after a few hours. But, it comes again if I sit for a longer duration. Sometimes, I see small strips of blood on the stool. I have been sitting in warm water and keeping ice-pack for some days. It does help relieve pain. On examination, I also saw a small fleshy lobe near the anus. I am attaching a picture of the area.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As I can know from your history that you are suffering from pain while passing stool and also blood in the stool you have noticed. I have diagnosed your problem, it looks from your photographs although it is not very clear that you are suffering from anal fissure. May I know if you have occasional constipation and if you have work that has a more sedentary lifestyle?

I suggest you to have leafy vegetables, salads, high fiber diet, cabbages, and spinach so that you do not have constipation. Next, you can buy Dabur Isabgul powder and take two teaspoons in one glass of water or milk. You can take at bedtime, and drink plenty of water. Apply Anovate ointment (Beclomethasone dipropionate) in the raw area where you have pain after passing stool. Get back to me after three days and let us see if it works or not.

Take hot sitz bath, I mean you have to sit in a tub of lukewarm water at least three to four times a day. It heals 80% of anal fissure.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have not had constipation. I am an IT professional and my work does not involve much physical activity. I will follow the sitz bath advice. Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You are an IT professional so you will be having long hours sitting and a sedentary lifestyle. You need to change your habits. Go for a walk. Have some fruits, leafy vegetables, restrict non-vegetarian food, sit in a tub with lukewarm water, and see the changes in some days.

Avoid fried food. You can get back to me if the complaints persist.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
