Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have started anti-TB (tuberculosis) schedule 13 tablets for my mother of age 70 years, as she was detected right pleural effusion and certain pleural fluid was sent to the lab for analysis and gene Xpert test came negative. Still, the problem is now I have started the TB tablets, which make her feel very tired, and six months back stent was placed in her heart. She is getting very tired, and sometimes blood pressure (BP) and sugar become low. Currently, she takes Glycomet GP1 and Prax A in the morning. Navistar 2.5, Flavedon MR, Amifru 40 during lunch, anti TB schedule 13 tablets (red color), Atorlip 10, Maxmala, Flavedon MR, Benadon 40 after dinner.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. I can understand your concern. In my opinion, I suggest her taking start antacid with an anti-emetic combination like Pan D (Domperidone 30 mg and Pantoprazole 40 mg) or Nexpro RD (Domperidone 30 mg and Esomeprazole 40 mg) twice daily before breakfast and dinner. Take adequate rest and continue the same treatment. I hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Thank you.
