Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My finger was pressed between doors around 15 to 20 days ago and blood was clotted in that area. Please refer to the attached pictures. But, since last week, it looks like in the picture.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through all the data posted.

From the pictures (attachment removed to protect patient identity), it looks like your finger has gotten infected. Kindly consult a general surgeon at your local place so that he can examine and drain pus, if present. You also need a source of antibiotics. But if there is pus, then it needs to be drained. Otherwise, antibiotics will not work. I suggest you tablet Amox-CV (combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium) 625 mg to be taken thrice a day for five days. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicine with consent.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Actually, it was bleeding today with only blood coming out. There was no pus as I tried to press and release out.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The collection of blood is called a hematoma. There are chances that hematomas will get infected. In such cases, they need to be drained by a small incision.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
