Hello doctor,
I am looking very thin by body, face, etc. My physique is not getting improved even after taking sufficient and proper meals, fruits, milk, egg, etc. Please suggest.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
First I want to know whats your height before determining whether your weight is less or normal. Also how old are you? Many people up to the age of 25-26 will not gain weight and look slim and later they start gaining weight without doing anything.
The simple principle of weight gain is you have to consume more calories. Take more fatty food like red meat, cheese, ghee, nuts, etc. Also, eat two eggs daily that will help. I advise you to do some exercise daily initially aerobic exercise like jogging and after a few weeks start gyming.
Also, get these blood tests done to know whether are you losing or not gaining weight because of some diseases.
1. Fasting Blood sugar.
2. TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone), done in the fasting condition.
Thank you doctor,
I am a 29-year-old male. My height is about 168 cm and weighs about 62 kg. I have also many other health-related problems. As you suggest to eat more eggs, cheese, ghee, nuts, meat, etc., but eating few foods, I feel burn in the heart, belching and there is like an explosion in the abdomen.
After eating some foods, it seems like vomit and has no appetite at all. I also take a lot of time in the toilet even after drinking lots of water. I also have a problem with hand tremor and rectal prolapse. My nose is always closed in one way. So viewing these physical problems is it possible to be my physique in good condition. Please give me your suggestion in this regard.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Now, coming to your weight, the adequate weight for a particular height is determined by body mass index (BMI) the normal range of BMI for an adult man is 20-24. your BMI is 21.9 which is well within the normal limits means your weight for your height is absolutely normal.
Coming to the burning, belching and vomiting it might be due to indigestion to these fatty foods. I advise you to take tablet Pancreatin everyday afternoon before food for one month and then try to consume these foods.
As of rectal prolapse is concerned, consult a good surgeon and get it corrected. The blockage of one side of your nose is most likely due to deviated nasal septum (DNS). This can be easily corrected with minor surgery it can also be due to nasal polyps which also can be easily corrected by minor surgery.
The tremors of your hands could be a hereditary disease or could be due to thyroid problems, alcoholism or some neurological disorders. My advice is, if you are consuming alcohol abstain from it, also get a test of fasting TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) done and revert back with reports. Daily do at least 20 min of aerobic exercise like jogging, running, cycling, swimming and at least 10 minutes of weight lifting.
