Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Based on your description, you might be suffering from anemia (low hemoglobin levels). The causes are many, but to start, I want you to get some tests to help diagnose the problem.

The possibilities are celiac disease, H pylori infections, food allergies, giardiasis, and autoimmune enteropathy. You also look low for your body weight at this age.

I want to know how much blood you lose during your monthly cycles. If it is a large amount, then it is one of the possibilities of you having low hemoglobin.

To confirm the diagnosis and find the underlying cause, I suggest doing the following investigations:

  1. Complete blood count.
  2. Iron profile.
  3. Vitamin B12 and folate.
  4. Anti-tTG (anti-tissue transglutaminase), IgA, and IgG.
  5. Stools for H pylori.
  6. TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone), FT4 (Free Thyroxine), and FT3 (Free Triiodothyronine).

The differential diagnosis includes

  1. Excessive menstrual loss.
  2. H. pylori infection.
  3. Giardiasis.
  4. Malnutrition.

Once these reports are available, we can identify whether your anemia is due to iron deficiency, malabsorption, or another cause.

Please follow up with your test results so we can discuss the findings and plan an appropriate treatment strategy, including dietary advice and supplements if needed.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
