Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 18-year-old female. I have chest pain which comes and goes. Sometimes it lasts for an hour and sometimes for five minutes. Stabbing pain starts suddenly near my heart and I am unable to take deep breaths. Lying down makes it worse. Last year, I had bad cough for a few weeks, which caused a stabbing pain near my left rib cage. It eventually went away on its own. Also, about a month ago, when I woke up one day my ears were ringing. It has not stopped since then and it is driving me crazy. I also have unexplained bruises all over my body. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I saw the details provided by you and I will help you understand them better. Based on your symptoms, it mostly might be acidity and reflux disease. Do you have upper abdominal pain, nausea, bloating, increased pain after eating, and a sour feeling in your throat? If yes, it further supports the diagnosis. I would suggest you do the following. Avoid beverages, fatty and oily foods. Take a walk after eating instead of resting immediately. Take multiple small meals instead of one heavy meal. Practice proper sleep habits and avoid stress. Add lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits to your diet. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any. I would suggest you take tablet Pan DSR 40 mg (Domperidone and Pantoprazole) once a day for 2 weeks. If it does not respond, then add Sucral-O suspension (Sucralfate and Oxetacaine) 2 teaspoons, three times a day for one week. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with their consent. Get an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) examination done for the ringing in your ears. Platelets count should be checked for knowing the reason for bruises. Increase citrus fruits like lemons and oranges in your diet. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
