Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My son's age is 8 years. He is very much interested in looking at mirror. He spends most time in talking infront of the mirror. I have tried covering the mirror with bedsheets. He is still not studying. He is very lazy in writing even if he knows the answer. He learns nicely. But very slow in writing and will not sit for studying more than 30 minutes.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It is the nature of children to be engaged in activities which are fun, exciting. Studies as such are not that fun but you can always make your child engage in studies with following things. Appreciate him a lot. If he does study for one hour or secure good marks encourage him with positive remarks, small rewards. He will be keen to study to get those rewards and appreciation from you. Regarding seeing the mirror, it is just a fun activity. Do not bother about it too much, let him enjoy his childhood. Just focus to make studies fun, interesting, and rewarding.
