Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had sexual contact with a new partner. My new partner told me he was free of any sexually transmitted diseases. However, I have been experiencing vaginal discharge, discomfort, and cramping. Previously I tested positive for chlamydia and cleared of lupus. I am currently not on any medication or have undergone any lab tests. Should I be worried?

Hello,

I appreciate you signing up on icliniq.com. You now have exclusive access to expert medical opinion. I have gone through your medical reports (attachment are hidden to protect the patient's identity) and found that you have a previous history of chlamydia infection. You have been suffering from a sex-linked disease that is caused by unprotected sex. Chlamydia is a chronic infection with periods of occurrence and regression. I would suggest you follow these steps: Maintain good personal hygiene. Undergarments must be rinsed in Betadine or an antiseptic solution after washing. Genitals must be washed with lukewarm water and Betadine solution at least twice a day. Consume citrus fruits like lemon, orange, kiwi, and gooseberry. During lunch, consume fresh curd. Maintain a proper diet routine. I suggest you undergo the following treatment. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take these medicines with their consent.Take one tablet of Clarithromycin or Azithromycin 500 mg for seven to ten days. Take tablet Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for seven to ten days. Take one tablet of Fluconazole 150 mg for six days. Topical application of Fucidin ointment, Cotrimoxazole ointment, and Betnovate-C (Betamethasone and Clioquinol) ointment in a 1:1:1 ratio. I hope your query was resolved.

Thanks and regards.
