Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 18 years old, 150 pounds, 5.8 foot male. I am in need of advice for my possible phimosis problem. I am uncircumcised and have never attempted to pull my foreskin back until yesterday. I was able to pull the foreskin back with some struggle but hardly any pain and got a look at the whole head. I have a few questions regarding this. When my foreskin is pulled back, at the end of the glans has excessive skin or somewhat around it and was worried if that was paraphimosis? (No pain except when touching it and feels very sensitive including the glans). Is it okay to leave my foreskin back as it is able to stay retracted and will just have to wait for the sensitivity to desensitize? Now that I am able to pull my foreskin back when flaccid, I cannot pull it back when erect. So, could I retract the foreskin when flaccid and get erect as it is already retracted?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your query, I would like to know a few more details to answer your query better. Have you ever had swelling of your foreskin? Has your foreskin never been retractable, even in childhood or is it a recent event? Was there any bleeding when you retracted it now? It appears that you have a tight foreskin and not phimosis, I would have to examine you to confirm the diagnosis. In either case, the treatment advised would be circumcision to avoid a possibility of paraphimosis at a later date. I would advise you to not keep your foreskin retracted as it may cause a paraphimosis, which will require surgery to correct it if left for long.
