Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 21 years old. I had my last period before four months. I had my last sex (unprotected) before two months. I have a white discharge, sometimes, thick, other times watery. Sometimes it is odorless, other times it has kind of a foul smell. I tried having PT three times, and all were negative. What is going on with my body? Some say it is because of my weight gain, and I gained 22 lbs in less than a year, I had anxiety and early depression. Someone said it is because of the stress. Please help me.

Hello,

Welcome to the icliniq.com.

The excess anxiety and stress can cause a delayed period. Excess weight gain also can cause a delayed period. So both these factors need to be corrected. You have to lose weight through medication. For behavioral anxiety, counseling will be helpful. However, thick white discharge points towards candida infection as well. Empirically Clotrimazole vaginal tablet can be used. If the discharge does not decrease, then vaginal swab should be taken for culture. I have given you a possible management option for your case. However, for the pelvic examination, it is advisable to consult a gynecologist.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
