Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have dizziness or numbness over head for the past two days. I have them when I get up from sleeping. I also get them when I sit for long time. I am working from home for few days. I have done some blood tests. All the reports are fine except for some findings. I have a lymphocyte level of 42.4% with lymphocyte absolute of 3500 lymphocytes in a microliter of blood. Please help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As you are working from home, you might be using a laptop or computer excessively for a long time. In my opinion, symptoms like dizziness and numbness over head are related to the same. Sometimes, neck muscles get spasms and there is decreased blood flow to the neck causing dizziness and lightheadedness. Sometimes, stress can cause these symptoms. I suggest you do regular exercise and meditation to relax your body and mind. Take healthy foods. Drink plenty of water.

Avoid taking coffee and tea excessively. Take more fibrous food in your diet in the form of salads. Take green leafy vegetables and oats. Take rest in between your work time. Check your blood pressure often. I suggest you do some neck exercise or movements in between while working. Take more fruits in your diet. I have gone through your reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity). There is nothing to worry about lymphocyte count. All the other parameters are normal. Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Do I need to worry about this result? I have a TSH of 5.73 mIU/L.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is just marginally elevated. Recheck your TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) after three months.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
