Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My son is 10 years old. He is having a problem in the left ear where a yellow liquid comes out with pain for the last three days. Please suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. The possibility of left ear infection is more likely. I would like to know, Is there any fever? Any reduced hearing in that ear? Please reply, so that I can guide you better.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Hearing is reduced slightly with body temperature (not measured with thermometer).

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

He needs ear drops and oral tablets. Please let me know if he is comfortable with tablets or not. Is he liking syrups? Any similar complaints in the past?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

He is comfortable with tablets. Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

So start Augmentin kid (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) tablet 1-0-1 (after some food), Dan P (Diclo Paracetamol combination) 1/2 tablet twice daily (after food) and Moxifloxacin ear drops (two drops four times a day).

Apply warm water pad externally on the ear. Do all these for five days. If he is not improving or worsening then consult an ENT doctor for detailed ear examination.

I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
