Could excessive masturbation lead to loss of penile erection?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 22 years old and have been masturbating since I was nearly 15 years old. I got to a point where I watched too much porn and masturbated excessively. Sometimes I did it three to five times a day every day, but now I am trying to control my urge to watch porn and masturbate. I have completed three weeks of control and deleted all my porn accounts, but lately, I noticed that I have no erections except when I stroke my penis, which does not last that long. It does not get hard enough, no matter how much I try to stimulate myself. I do not know if I damaged myself permanently or if everything will return to normal again. What should I do to heal myself?

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query, and it seems the problem is due to exhaustion of the urogenital system due to excessive masturbation. My advice:

  1. Stop all sexual activities, including masturbation, for a few weeks to rejuvenate your urogenital system.
  2. Do perineal and pelvic exercises regularly.
  3. Do yoga and pranayam regularly.
  4. Go for walks regularly.
  5. Take dry fruits regularly.

Consult your specialist doctor, talk to them, and take medications after their consent.

  1. Take two capsules of Semento (Tribulus Terrestris, Mucuna puriens, Anacyclus pyrethrum, and Withania somnifera) twice daily.
  2. Take 15 ml of Ashwagandharishta (Ashwagandha, Musli, Manjistha) three times a day.
  3. Take one teaspoon of Musali pak (Chlorophytum borivillanum, Ghrit, Zingiber officinale, and Piper longum) twice a day.

All of them should be taken for three to six months.

Kindly follow up after six weeks.

Thank you.
