What is erectile dysfunction?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have not been involved in any sexual relationship, but I masturbate daily (four to five times a week). Recently, I have noticed that I am not getting as hard as I used to and cannot maintain an erection for extended periods. I am quite concerned and hope you can provide me with suggestions on reversing these symptoms. Does this mean that I have erectile dysfunction? Is it temporary, or is it curable? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Erectile dysfunction (the inability to obtain and maintain an erection) is a temporary condition that might emerge due to stress or a vitamin deficit. Therefore, I suggest that you eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly. Kegel, glute bridge, reclining butterfly position, lying leg raise, plank, push up, squat, hip flexor lunge, swimming, 5 minutes of jogging or brisk walking, and yoga are a few exercises that may help. In addition, the diet should include strawberries, apples, avocados, sweet potatoes, sesame seeds, almonds, garlic, and chocolate.

I hope this helps.

Please revert so I can assist you further.

Thank you.
