Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

About two weeks ago, I masturbated a lot. In a span of two days, I masturbated 12 times. I did not practice good hygiene, and I was rough. I would clean myself with a dirty sock, and I would keep on going. About a day or so later, I woke up with this bump that you see in the picture. I went to my primary doctor, and he said it looked like irritation, and he gave me Betamethasone and Clotrimazole. It is not doing anything. I had one scar and one red bump. The red bump did clear, but this other thing has not. I have not had sex in 18 months, so I know it cannot be an STD. There is no discharge or pain. I masturbated three times in the last week. Maybe that aggravated it. It has been over two weeks. Should I worry?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. From the photos (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) you have uploaded, I am sure that it is a torn frenulum. This can happen due to being aggressive during masturbation or sex. It will heal, but it will take time. It generally heals by scarring, so I suggest you avoid being so aggressive. Let it rest for a couple of weeks, and you will be fine. If it happens again, you may need a frenuloplasty or a circumcision.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

I was suspicious that it was that. Thank you for confirming this for me. I was scared it was herpes, but I have not had sex in a while.
