Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Why am I sweating without a reason all the time especially when eating? Does that mean I need B12 as I already take pills but do not get any better? Will I get better or B12 is just to prevent from getting worse for the polyneuritis?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Sweating while eating is a phenomenon called gustatory sweating. It is a common symptom that occurs due to a neuronal trigger. It is very common in people with diabetes. With your medication listed, I can see that you are under treatment for diabetes. I understand that sweating can be a very annoying and embarrassing symptom. You are already taking B12 supplements for helping neuropathic symptoms. A better control of your blood sugar levels may help you to get relieved to some extent. If you are overweight, reduce your weight to see an improvement in symptoms. Try eating slowly and avoid spicy food. Other than this, there are other modes of treatment like anti-muscarinic injections, but I recommend that you try natural remedies first, because these injections have their side effects.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
