Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a mild irritation type around the navel area. What medicines to take? Please suggest medicine.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The irritation around the navel area is most likely due to fungal infection, especially if associated with itchiness and redness. So, please provide me with a clear photo and tell me if there is itchiness or redness.

A local antifungal cream will be suitable after confirming the diagnosis. The other (less likely) diagnosis is scabies.

Is there any irritation in other places of the body? Any other family members with same problem?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

It is just a very mild pain inside the navel. No redness or itchiness. Sorry, I am remote and cannot provide any navel picture.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

From what you mentioned, it is most likely a mild fungal infection that caused this irritation. A local application of Clotrimazole 2 % cream twice daily for one week will improve it. Keep this area dry most of the time.

Please provide me with pictures, if possible. Is there anyone in the family with a similar problem?

Best wishes.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

No one in the family with this history. Navel picture attached. I am travelling abroad on a short trip of 97 days. Any worries about my travel? Please suggest a brand name for the cream.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have checked the attached photos (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It is mild with no redness or active lesions.

You can find the Clotrimazole cream under the name of Canesten cream. Use only for one week.

You can travel with no problems at all.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
