Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
This is regarding my father. On the first of this month, he had an ECG that was normal. On the third, he experienced some pain in his chest and left arm. On the fourth, he had another ECG, which showed abnormalities in the Q waves. He was advised to undergo a 2D echo and a TMT, both of which returned normal results. On the seventh, we had yet another ECG done, which also showed normal results. What conclusions can we draw from this?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Q wave abnormalities in certain leads can be inconclusive. If the overall TMT (treadmill test), cardiac echo, and ECG (electrocardiogram) are normal, there is no need for concern. Please continue to follow up with your cardiologist. Take a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone once daily before breakfast for three weeks. Occasionally, chest pain may be related to GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) as well. Avoid spicy, fried, and hot foods, and do not lie down immediately after meals. You may consider having an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy to confirm the diagnosis.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
