Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 23-years-old and my skin tone is medium brown. My concern is that I am having dark circles and dark skin on my mustache area for a long time. What should I use? Also, I want to know if Glutathione works. If yes kindly suggest.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
As such there are no skin whitening pills. Glutathione pills are marketed as skin whitening pills, but their use is not recommended by doctors. It is essential to know how you use your sunscreen. Sunscreens with SPF (sun protection factor) 30 are good for regular use. Sunscreen should be applied at least half an hour before stepping out and should be repeated every three hours. Sunscreen use is advised between 10 am to 4 pm. Try to learn more about sunscreens and its use. Also, I suggest using a Kojic acid and glycolic acid-based cream daily like Kojivit Plus gel (octinoxcate, kojic acid, glycolic acid, grape seed oil, vitamin E acetate, mulberry extract, alatoin) or Rejuglow gel (glycolic acid, kojic acid, dipalmitate, salicylic acid, viamin E, aloe vera, pine bark extract and arbutin) once a day. And I suggest using vitamin C serum at night. Take a diet rich in fruits and nuts. You may also apply tomato pulp and turmeric mixed in yogurt to improve skin tone apart from the creams suggested above. Also, I suggest taking a few sessions of chemical peels.
Thank you for consulting me.
