Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been asked to take Minoxidil for hair loss by my physician. But I have more hair fall after I started using it. Why? I fear that I will become bald soon. Because there was so much hair loss before I went to the doctor, and she suggested Minoxidil, I thought my problem would get solved, but it did not help me. What should I do? I worry a lot about my hair. Please help. After my pregnancy, only I face this issue. Can you help me with the diet to follow, medicines to take, shampoo to use, and oil to apply? Also, my stress levels are increasing; how to help reduce it. Also, I wanted to say that I am breastfeeding my 12-month-old baby.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It is normal to have hair fall after delivery, which is called postpartum telogen effluvium. If you do not have any other medical issues, I suggest you take a Biotin supplement for one month, and your hair will regrow within three months. Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
