Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am having bad headaches for two weeks now. It seems to be a throbbing headache. It affects my front and back of my head. It gets worse when lying down. Sometimes, I have vomiting. Last week, I had a fever for two days. I have tried taking painkillers for headaches. But it is not working.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Headache and vomiting with fever occurs due to infection. You need to rule out meningitis and raised intracranial pressure. Please mention whether you have blurring vision or double vision or neck rigidity. If you have any of these symptoms, you need to consult your doctor soon. If you do not have any symptoms, you can do an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) brain with contrast to look for infective focus or parenchymal lesion. Check your eyes for papilloedema. In the meantime, you can take Pantoprazole and Domperidone before breakfast. Take tablet Naproxen 500 mg for headache.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
