Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 22 years old. I am worried about my condition. I got a bad on and off headache on the top of my head tonight. I was trying to sleep and so I started masturbating at night. I thought that it may make my headache better. I continued doing it and my headache became worse. But I stopped and continued doing it for 30 minutes until my head hurts a lot. Why? After that, I stopped it and my head hurts a lot after masturbating. My right top of my head hurts a lot with pressure. Am I going to die? Why do I hurt my brain?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your symptoms do not suggest any serious medical condition. High blood pressure can cause headaches and masturbation can raise your blood pressure further. For this, I suggest you monitor your blood pressure frequently for few days. You need to do a complete blood count, PCR (polymerase chain reaction), ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) for inflammation, and thyroid hormone profile for thyroid gland dysfunction. If you have headaches consistently with normal blood pressure values and normal blood tests, I suggest you do a brain MRI (magnetic resonance imaging).

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
