Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a problem I got married three months ago, and since then I do not understand my period cycle. The first period it delayed for around six days and I thought I was pregnant, the period was heavy and lasted for seven days more than the normal four days that I have been having. On the 14th day of my cycle I started bleeding again for three days then it stopped. The next month's period started and it was normal. Following that, I am having another period, the flow was light for the first three days but it is now eight days of continued bleeding. What could be the cause for these changes? I am trying to conceive too. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It is common to have irregular periods after getting sexually active because hormonal changes occur in the body. I have seen the USG (ultrasound) report (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) is completely normal. One-week delayed periods have no issue and bleeding after 13 to 15 days might be ovulation bleeding. If bleeding does not stop in the next two days take a tablet of Tranexa MF (Tranexamic Acid and Mefenamic Acid) twice daily for five days.

Thank you.
