Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have recently noticed I have a small pink bump right on the bottom of my anus, kind of in between my anus and vagina. I am very worried but extremely embarrassed to go see a doctor. And I am not sure if my insurance would cover anything.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have checked your attached photo (the attachment has been removed to protect the person's privacy). You have what is called external hemorrhoids due to thrombosed veins. It is benign and requires local treatment for two weeks.

I suggest you follow the below-mentioned directions and take the medications mentioned after consulting a specialist and with their consent.

1. Preparation H (Mineral oil, protectant Petrolatum, and protectant Phenylephrine HCl) ointment thrice for two weeks.

2. Lidocaine cream as a local anesthetic for local pain relief.

3. Oral painkillers like Ibuprofen 400 mg.

It resolves within two to three weeks. If there is constipation, it should be corrected.

I will be pleased to provide any further advice.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
