Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a transgender woman, who has not been gender operated yet. Last week I had very bad stomach pain and was rushed to the hospital. My test results were fine, except for creatinine, which is the cause of my stomach pain. It went over 3 mg/dl. The doctor said high blood pressure and sugar were the reason behind this, but both were normal for me. I am taking hormonal pills. I have been advised to stop the hormones to avoid the risk of dialysis. I wanted to enquire if injectable pills are dangerous for the kidney. Please advise.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Please give the exact names of any medications that you may be taking, both the pain medicines and the hormonal pills. I want to check if they have inactive ingredients that might cause kidney failure. For the time being, stop all medicines. Drink plenty of water (three to four liters a day). Do not consume any pain medications other than paracetamol if required.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
