Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thnak you for your reply.
Please find the reports attached.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Thanks for follow up and providing required reports (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity).
From the available reports, it is clear that there is no evidence of infection provided antibody tests were negative. This is important to specify because p24 antigen appears early than antibodies but the level decreases after the appearance of antibodies.
As per the test report, they have tested for both p24 antigen and HIV-1 (human immunodeficiency virus) and HIV-2 antibodies. I do not find any reason to suspect HIV infection. At the same time, 110 days after exposure is quite long time and both antigen and antibody shown in the tests at this time. I mean to say that there is no concluding evidence to get tested in the future.
I hope this answers you completely.
