Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 24-year-old male. I underwent a fourth-generation CMIA (chemiluminescent magnetic microparticle immunoassay) test, which came back negative after 10 years of post-exposure. I have also performed RT-PCR (Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction) for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV-1 and HIV-2), but both tests came back undetected, and my CD4 count is 428. I was sick for the last year with abdominal pain, oral thrush, body pain, mouth ulcers, neuropathy, lower back pain, etc. So, I am confused. Do I have AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome), and is my result a false negative?
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I completely understand your concerns.
The fourth Generation CMIA (chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay)kit test is 99.9 % correct. But symptoms are present. (Cluster of Differentiation) CD4 count is also not that high, but till results are negative. No one can say HIV positive. Go to any government hospital and give the blood test. Privacy is maintained, and confirmation is their whether your previous results are negative or not. This is the way to find out what the problem is. Your immunity is very low, so take Gilo Ghan Vati of Patanjali three times a day after food. It has no side effects. It increases your immunity so as CD4 count.
I hope this helps.
Kindly revert if there is any query.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Is my RT-PCR (Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction) test fine, that is, target not detected?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
RT-PCR (reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction) is prone to errors. So you never know. So we cannot consider its accuracy.
Thanks.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
May I go for the PCR DNA (Polymerase Chain Reaction Deoxyribonucleicacid) qualitative for confirmation?
Please suggest.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
You can, but highly authentic is still the fourth-generation CMIA (chemiluminescent magnetic microparticle immunoassay) kit test. As your CD4 count is not below 350 to 360, the results are negative. You can go for viral load. If it is more than 20 copies, there is no chance of HIV.
I hope this helps.
