Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 22 years old with a weight of 94 lbs. I have not got periods for the past two months. But I got some blood discharge that looked so dark and came as old blood. It lasted for fifteen days. It occurred on my last menstrual cycle. I am stressed. I am using Ashokarishta and Kumaryasava (Ayurvedic medicines) under the guidance of my doctor. I am also using Ashwagandha and Shatavari (Ayurvedic medicines) with milk at night. I am very lean. I do not have thyroid problems and PCOD. I checked them recently. Kindly suggest some medicine. I have been started taking Charak M2 tone for the past two days. Can I get cured by using it? The doctor told me that it is due to hormonal imbalance.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I have no knowledge about the medicines you are taking and so I cannot comment on it. My advise is purely based on allopathic understanding. I hope this will help you. You need to get your hemoglobin checked first. Kindly share the reports during follow up. Also share all the reports of the tests that you have done. You need to understand that changes in menstrual cycle occurs commonly due to hormonal changes. These changes can occur due to diet as well as when you are taking a lot of stress. I would advise you to stop worrying and taking stress about anything. You need to start taking proper well balanced diet with lots of proteins. As your health improves, your cycles will become regular and normal. I am prescribing iron tablets for you. Kindly start consuming it. You need to take a lot of jaggery, nuts, peanuts, and seasonal fruits. Kindly follow up with the reports. You do not need to worry. Just focus on building up your body strong and healthy.

Treatment plan

1. Fefol spansule (Vitamin B9 and Iron) one tablet daily in the morning with juice or lemon water. Do not consume it with milk or tea.

Preventive measures

Start practicing walking or jogging and consume a healthy diet.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
