Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I showered about 12 hours ago and when I was shaving, I cut my outer labia and and a bump about the size of a pea has formed immediately and has not gone away. It has not gotten worse or better. It is the same color as my skin until I slightly pinch it and then it is red with a little white spot. It does not hurt unless, there is pressure added to it.

Kindly advise.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

It sounds like you may have developed a small bump or lesion on your outer labia after shaving and cutting the skin. This can happen due to irritation or infection of the hair follicles in the area. If the bump has not changed in size or color and is not causing any pain or discomfort, it may be a minor skin irritation or an inflamed hair follicle. It is important to keep the area clean and dry to avoid any further irritation or infection. However, if the bump becomes more painful or starts to grow in size, or if you develop any additional symptoms such as fever or swelling, it is important to get it checked. You can try applying a warm compress to the affected area several times a day to help reduce any inflammation and promote healing. Avoid wearing tight clothing or underwear that may cause friction or further irritation to the area.
