Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 27-year-old female with no current medications. Using Mirena birth control intrauterine device for the past five years, sexually active, and not suspecting pregnancy. On two separate mornings within the past 7 days, I have suddenly felt extremely hot, started sweating profusely, and vomited or dry heaving. The moment before it happens I know something is not right then I start to feel nauseous so I will lie down then the sweating and hotness start and then I run to the bathroom to dry heave. This all happens within a matter of minutes and then the feeling is gone all day. What should I do? Does this require an emergency visit? I wound not concerned fact is it has happened twice a week. But happens in the morning about 20-30 minutes after being awake and up.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

It would be better if you send me your detailed history of gynecological, obstetrics, menstrual, drug history, medications, contraceptive, and hormonal imbalances all have side effects so better to have a check on these tests and any medications you take recently, since the start of these symptoms or any other specific other symptoms you got recently? Have thyroid function test and complete blood count. Kindly consult a specialist. Revise any medication that could cause any symptoms and follow up with reports.

I suggest you follow a few instructions mentioned below.

1. Have a regular walk, exercise, and recreational activities.

2. Consume a healthy diet and maintain body mass index.

3. Try to get rid of anxiety and do have outings as well as other than routine work.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
