Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 20-year-old female. Two days back, I started to have slight pain in two different joints. After waking up in the morning, my joint pain was awful. Finally, I waked up with severe pain today morning. I cried a lot. I do not have any arthritis. What is the cause? Do I need to consult a doctor?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You have sudden pain and swelling in the joint. It is a sign of acute inflammation of joints. You seem to have rheumatoid arthritis. It is a common problem causing multiple joint pain. For now, do RICE (rest, elevation, and ice compression) on the affected area. I suggest you take tablet Chlorzoxazone 500 mg thrice daily for three days after food. It reduces swelling and pain.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
