Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 28 years old. I have a query regarding my knee-knocking sound. I have a bad pain for the past two days. I feel the pain when I am sitting and standing up. I have this knee-knocking problem for the past three years. Is this anything serious? Do I have to do some tests? I often have pain in my back and joints. I have not consulted the doctor. When I consulted a doctor while having a knee-knocking sound on my right side, the doctor told me that it is normal. But now I have it in my left side and pain hurts me a lot. Whenever I sit or stand, I have bad pain in both knees.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Sometimes our knees make a sound when we stand up because there is bone patella and so when we stand up, it slides down and so we hear the sound. Apart from that, you have pain. It is not normal and you can have it due to injuries or inflammation. First of all, I suggest you take an X-ray of the knee. Please attach it while having a follow-up. If there is a change, I suggest you take some medications accordingly. You need to do a uric acid test. When it is high, you can have pain in the joints. For now, you can take tablet Ibuprofen 400 mg once a day after taking food and apply Diclofenac gel on that knee. Take this treatment for three days.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
