Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 21-year-old female with a weight of 52 kilograms and a height of five feet two inches. I have recurring knee pain and sometimes it occurs alternatively from left and right. Why do I have it? It hurts me a lot and it keeps on coming back even though I am not giving any stress on them such as running.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
There are some conditions that causes knee pain. It can occur due to irritation of soft tissues or lining of the knee or torn cartilage or strained tendons, trauma due to overuse of knee cap, misalignment of the kneecap due to complete or partial dislocation of the kneecap, flat feet with weakness, tight thigh muscles due to inadequate stretching and arthritis or due to a fractured kneecap. I suggest you do some tests. You need to do serum vitamin D3, serum calcium, and an X-ray of the knee joint on both knees in skyline view to rule out the cause.
