Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am 23 years old. I normally masturbate every day, if not every other day. My sessions are often interrupted because I live in a house with other people who interrupt me frequently. Therefore I stop them and carry on later in the day. I have been doing that multiple times, but sometimes I also manage to get it done the first time around.
In my past two sessions, however, I noticed that, though I was still able to get hard and feel good while stroking, but when I ejaculate, I felt only about 20% of how I usually feel when I orgasm. It happened the first time I thought it was just a fluke, but it happened again the second time.
I am now taking a longer break from masturbation, but I have still been getting hard stroking it a little bit from time to time when I get aroused. I plan to masturbate properly (with intended ejaculation and orgasm) in a couple of days, but I am worried that it will still only be at 20% feeling, which is now my new normal. Please let me know if you have any advice.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I am sorry that you will get an answer that you most probably do not like. As a physician, I have to be straightforward. It is highly unlikely that your issue is the consequence of having been interrupted. It sounds rather like one of the so many difficult undesired side-effects of masturbation itself.
I know that in the western world, masturbation is considered normal, if not even as healthy. But I see so many victims of masturbation who develop erectile dysfunction, distortions of the arousal cascade, hyper-, hypo-sexual conditions, etc.
If you still think that masturbation is healthy, ask yourself why men have nocturnal ejaculation during deep sleep (wet dreams)? Because that is the natural safety valve to keep your arousal at bay and all functions in order. However, once you masturbate, you destroy this mechanism. It is quite fragile (neurologically).
So my recommendation is to let your body decide during sleep when it needs to release an ejaculation. Stop masturbation, forget it and let nature repair your distorted arousal cascade. As a positive side effect, you will also perform better once you have intercourse.
I hope this helps.
