Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 34-year-old male with a weight of 235.89 lbs and a height of five feet. I have a BMI of 33. I have obesity grade 1 which got complicated with snoring, intermittent apnea, waking up with weak and scattered joints, and back pain. My vital signs are within normal limits. There is no abnormal finding detected. What is the best modality of treatment for me?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Basically, a BMI (body mass index) of 33 puts you in a category of obesity. This needs to be addressed as early as possible, because the faster you lose weight the better your health will be. I would suggest you consume a calorie-deficient diet, which means if your body requirement is 2000 calories you should take only 1200 calories. When you become calorie deficient you automatically tend to lose weight. I would suggest you consume a high-fiber diet with low carbohydrates and high protein and also Include nine glasses of water in your diet daily.

If you need proper guidance kindly get in touch with me through a video consultation, so I can help you with the weight loss journey.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
