Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have been masturbating a lot every day (sometimes twice a day). Recently I had some discomfort while masturbating near the corona of the penis. I have had PPP (Pearly Penile Papules) (white ones) since I was a kid, and they never caused any discomfort. Also, I am uncircumcised. I panicked and started to check what was causing the pain and then realized there was a small red dot next to one of the PPPs. I have been sexually active in the last couple of months, but I always used protection. Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
The red dot in the picture (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity) may be due to some erosion, injury, or friction. It appears that you have noticed it accidentally, and you are not clear about the duration or other symptoms. I suggest observing any other symptoms or progress for a few days. If you have multiple sexual partners, i suggest going for sexually transmitted disease (STD) panel tests as a routine or baseline now and after three months of last exposure to relieve anxiety.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for your response. I will abstain from masturbation and will see if the symptoms still appear. I will get an STD test the following week.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Masturbation is a means to avoid sexual urges and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). I suggest not being rough or forceful during sex, following the hygienic measures, and not going for sex too frequently; you can go for a single faithful partner. I wish you safe and good health.
