Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

My father is diabetic and I do not have diabetes. My blood pressure is high around 140 mmHg. My sugar level was normal before two years. I am allergic to certain foods like garlic and almond. I have started to maintain better hygiene in the days preceding the issue. I clean my skin with soap and I have slight irritation. But it starts suddenly. This issue persists for some time.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It seems to be Zoon's balanitis. It is seen as swelling and inflammation in the glans penis. It occurs due to poor hygiene. Avoid using irritant soaps and lubricants if you are allergic to them. Avoid doing scratching and rubbing the lesions. Do a swab test to investigate the infection. Do a biopsy and urine culture or routine or microscopic examination. Please mention whether you have pain while urinating. Please mention whether you have any increase in the frequency of urination. Please mention whether you are prediabetic. You can use Candid-B cream (Beclomethasone and Clotrimazole) twice daily for a week. You can use an Episoft cleanser (Cetearyl alcohol with sodium lauroyl sarcosinate) or a non-soap cleanser twice daily to wash your genitals. Wash them with warm water too and keep the area dry. Do not take self-medication as it can worsen the lesions. Please answer the questions to guide you further.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
