Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a bad infection from an abscess. Due to the broken tooth infection going to my ear, there is a severe pain on the whole right side and can barely open my mouth.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The tooth is not in good condition (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Maybe it will go for root canal treatment or will be removed. These are only two options for the tooth. For now, I would suggest you maintain oral hygiene properly and use mouthwash after brushing twice a day. Take any antibiotic twice a day after the meal and for pain take Zerodol SP (Aceclofenac and Serratiopeptidase) tablet twice for three days. But, dental treatment is needed.

The Probable causes

Food lodgement and chewing habits, improper oral hygiene.

Investigations to be done

Needs X-ray of the tooth to know better.

Differential diagnosis

Grossly decayed tooth.

Probable diagnosis

Apical periodontitis.

Treatment plan

As per dental X-ray.

Preventive measures

Maintain oral hygiene properly, rinse mouth with salt water and turmeric mixture twice a day.

Regarding follow up

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
