Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I think I have a fissure in my anal area. I do not have any constipation, rectal, or anal pain. I do not have bloating or any abdominal pain. I also do not have any piles. I do not have any straining during bowel movement. I do not have any blood in the stools.
I am sending you anal pics. Is there any abnormality around it?
Please tell me.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through the clinical images (attachment removed to protect patient identity).
It looks like small external piles with a suspicious fissure. No active intervention is needed.
I hope your queries have been cleared.
Take care.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
Is there any evidence of rectal prolapse? What is the difference between rectal prolapse and external hemorrhoids?
Sorry to question you; I have OCD. I attend my CBT daily. Are you sure that it is not rectal prolapse?
Please answer the questions for me so that I can enjoy my life with happiness.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
External piles will remain just as a loose skin or mucosal fold. It is nothing worrisome. It is not always pathologic and small tags will be there in most individuals.
In prolapse, you will find a thickness (will have a rectal wall) that bulges down when you strain at stools. You do not have prolapse per se.
Take care.
