Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I feel irritated on deep thinking about people who are cheating me. I am possessive with my girlfriend and feel insecure about her. I am getting anger for very small reasons and answering in very serious mode. I need mental relaxation for myself. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Too many expectations from others are the reason for your sadness. I can understand your concern regarding your girlfriend. You can talk about it with her. Communication will help you to overcome this problem. Too much possessiveness will irritate your partner, and she will feel suffocated. Give her enough space and avoid expectations. You cannot control others. If they are cheating on you, then it is their fault and not yours.

Keep yourself busy in social work, outdoor games, and spend healthy time with your family. I know these things are difficult to control, but your problems are temporary and will vanish with time. After a few years, you will laugh about today's problems. Try the above measures or visit a psychologist for counseling to learn stress management.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
