Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 35-year-old female with Hashimoto’s thyroid, GERD with esophageal, vitamin D deficiency, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. It has been 15 days since I have been tested positive for COVID. I am barely able to hold down food or liquid. I have to fight the urge to vomit to keep food in. Symptoms started five days ago. I also have pain right above my belly button centralized. I am taking Levothyroxine, Vitamin D3, Wellbutrin, Trileptal, Zoloft, Birth control Seasonale, and Nexium. Kindly help me.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Many feel these symptoms post COVID. Do not worry. You can take Pantoprazole 40 mg twice a day one hour before food instead of Nexium (Esomeprazole Sodium) for ten days. Also, I suggest you take Ondansetron tablets 4 mg three times a day one hour before food. It will reduce your nausea and vomiting. I hope you are not diabetic or hypertensive. Take plenty of fluids, 100 ml at a time once in one and half hours, fruit juices, soups, etc. Take soft, easily digestible foods. Can take eggs, not much meat. Take ready-to-drink oral rehydration solutions. Available in the market (like Walyte). When you lie down, keep your (torso) upper body part elevated so that your stomach is at a lower level than your chest, as if reclining, not fully flat, so that GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disorder) will be controlled. You can fix up an appointment with icliniq for direct advising if you are very ill. I hope this was helpful.
