Fertile days for conception:

Ovulation happens about 14 days before the next period starts. If the average menstrual cycle is 28 days, ovulation occurs around day 14, and the most fertile days are days 12, 13, and 14. If the average menstrual cycle is 35 days, ovulation happens around day 21, and your most fertile days are days 19, 20, and 21. If the cycles are irregular, fertile days cannot be predicted.

Timed intercourse:

If the cycles are regular, like 28 to 30 days cycle, you can have intercourses from days 11 to 20. Days other than the fertile period are a safe period for intercourse if you want to avoid pregnancy.

You can use a condom as long as you do not want pregnancy. Use condoms, especially during fertile days, to avoid pregnancy.
