Why does my ultrasound show no signs of pregnancy even after a positive urine pregnancy test?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 44 years old. I have taken about 24 pregnancy tests in the past two months. They have come back positive that I go to the hospital, and they tell me I am not pregnant. I have gained 23 lbs in the past three months, and my uterus is growing. There is no fetus in my uterus. I have all the symptoms of a tubal pregnancy; my right shoulder is hurting, my vision is going bad dizzy, and no one is taking me seriously. I have 13 kids, and I know how it feels to be pregnant; I can feel a baby moving in my stomach, and I need help. They never gave me the results from my last laboratory done in the hospital, which was negative. But they did diagnose me with deteriorating disc arthritis. Please help me.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen the image shared by you (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). I think that as per hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) test your values are lower than pregnancy values; however as per the recent test that time, your values were giving strong positive result. Now, as per the details presented by you if you have done the test correctly so many times, then yes, there is a trigger for hCG to go high that may be due to pregnancy, hormonal disorders, and certain medications. Please visit a local doctor to be sure of your condition. I hope this helps.

Thank you.
